Brief History
The Islamic Society of Greater Lima was established as a charitable non-profit religious organization in the late 1990’s. At the time, the society’s Friday prayers were held in a small two-bedroom apartment on Maumee Road, Lima, Ohio. In 2011, the organization joined the Al-Muwahideen Society in Lima and moved Friday prayers to a small house on Catalpa Street. By the grace of Allah (SWT), we were able to buy a property and renovate it to establish a larger masjid, where we are now.
